These hoops, perfectly suited to my pattern “La Française,” are available in two different width versions to match the two gown width options.
The pocket hoops are offered in one size, with adjustment to your waist measurement achieved using an adjustable drawstring tie.

This pattern is historically accurate and may be used for historical reenactment provided appropriate fabrics and construction techniques are used.
However, the construction method presented in the instructions is modern: assembly is primarily done using a sewing machine for faster construction, while visible finishes are completed by hand.
Each maker is free to adapt materials and techniques according to their own knowledge and creativity.

Materials required (exact quantities are indicated on the pattern):
- Sturdy, non-stretch cotton canvas or cotton twill
- 25 mm and 15 mm cotton twill tape
- Metal boning, 15 mm wide × 0.6 mm thick
- Metal boning, 6 mm wide × 0.6 mm thick
